It is no longer news that Akai rolled out a new firmware update for its MPC devices, talking about the MPC One, MPC Live, MPC Key, and the MPC X series. It has since received mixed reactions from users, some hammering on the flaws of what used to be in the MPC 2 firmware that is currently not available in the new firmware, while others praise the new workflow as a big step up.

Either way, note that the current MPC 3 firmware is still in Beta version at the time of this writing. This means some features might be missing, and some might be buggy, but overall the new firmware is a much-needed update, a huge step in the right direction by the Akai team.
